What We Do

The main focus of study for Stoccata Blue Mountains is the British basket hilt broadsword of the 16th-19th centuries. Taking 16th Century English gentleman George Silver's 1599 treatise 'Paradoxes of Defence' as our pedagogical entry point, Provost Peter Radvan teaches Silver exclusively at Tuesday's Class.

In our Tuesday class we place a strong focus on fitness, footwork and the subtle body mechanics vital to developing high level fencing.

As an adjunct to Silver, Peter will be teaching I.33 Sword and Buckler according to the 13th Century Tower Manuscript in future Terms.
