Stoccata Blue Mountains branch trains at Mid Mountains Neighborhood Center, in the Mavis Wood Hall on Tuesday nights from 7.30 pm to 10.00pm, and on Thursday night from 5.30 to 6.30pm. We have four terms that follow school terms.
The Provost (Head Coach) is Peter Radvan. Currently the school curriculum is based on the work of George Silver. Short sword (ie basket-hilted backsword or broadsword), sword and dagger and sword and buckler are the main weapons covered.
Longsword according to Joachim Meyer has also been added to our curriculum, as well as Smallsword according to John MacArthur (Royal Navy, 1780).
We also teach Dark Age spear and shield, and Dark Age sword and shield.
Peter is a firm believer in the value of good footwork as the foundation of any martial skill, so expect to spend time on footwork every lesson.
Fees are $200 per term for Tuesdays and $100 per term for Thursdays, along with the $25 pa membership fee.
